  2022, THE YEAR OF TIKO$E. TIKO$E really came into his own in 2022, with a dazzling array of projects dropped, it was his most active year yet. Earlier in the year dropping smash hit Loose Screws, he topped it off with the release of the much lauded album Good boy, Bad ways. As hinted last year, he has undergone a stunning metamorphosis that has transformed him into a master in his own right. TIKOSE TRANSFORMS THE MUNDANE INTO A SPIRITUAL ABUNDANCE ON “NEVER BREAK AGAIN” While it has become somewhat routine for most artists to have a track of similar ilk on their projects, TIKO$E is taking a fresh approach to this usually tackled sub-genre of some sorts. The head bobbing song is a composite of expertly crafted sounds, the plucking of the guitar string introduces the track but is quickly overshadowed by the deep bass enveloping it before peeling back again, and it is svelte, smooth and converges beautifully on the track. Whereas the song employs a somewhat regular and simple formula with the message and overall vibe, it is elevated greatly by the raspy mellow restrained pitch vocals of TIKO$E, adding another layer of melody that blends seamlessly with the steady foot tapping rhythm. With each track, there is a new revelation,that in my opinion is deserving of the praise it so rightfully deserves. Listen:

  THE PROMISE OF REINVENTION, TIKO$E TAKES US ON A RIDE. “Final form”, from the title alone feelings of excitement at drawn parallels hits the eager listeners. On theme with the already noted transformation of TIKO$E on easily his best body of work yet, Final form speaks to the fans directly. A promise of further change and delicious fruits of coming projects tugs at the heartstrings of loyal listeners. The sensual track is laced with promises of a reinvention, as the seductive strumming of the guitar accompany the smooth vocals of TIKO$E, whose confidence shines through on the track. It reads like a prophecy and not a promise as he belts “O Lord this ain’t final form”, a sure fire to the point fact, which I would argue has been apparent since the first notes of the album tore through the air.  TIKO$E GOES ELECTRIC ON “WHEN THEY NEED ME”. The strumming of the guitar strings accompanied by the heavy hit of bass, quickly bathes you in the invigorating blend of sounds as the track begins. Good Boy Bad Ways, presents yet another track that solidifies TIKO$E’s transformation hinted in the first track “CONSEQUENCE”. When they need me is a composite of skillfully molded sounds and carefully constructed lyrics belted out in the now signature svelte and smoky voice perfected by TIKO$E.  It builds on the already solid introduction of the previous tracks, and in some ways is reminiscent of the early years of resurgence of Afrobeats in the mid 2010’s. Tantalizing and slow, the track is perfect for cold, dark and trippy moods, there is almost a promise of a highly rewarding pique as you sway and swing to its addicting tunes. TIKO$E SENDS WAVES OF NOSTALGIA WITH “CONSEQUENCE”. The release of the highly lauded “Good Boy, Bad Ways” by resident artist TIKO$E, confirmed what we had been suspecting for a while now. There is a new version of Tiko$e in town and a metamorphosis is happening right before our eyes or should I say “EARS”, and I suggest that we all get with the programme. As the first note swiftly cuts through the air, it is immediately familiar and nostalgic. There is a lingering feeling of the wet and chaotic summer of 2016 dancing throughout the track; the rhythm evokes eerily similar feelings to the smash hit “One dance” by Drake.   TIKO$E EYES MID MAY RELEASE FOR NEW ALBUM GOOD BOY BAD WAYZ TO BE RELEASED ON THE 14 TH OF MAY Fresh off the heels of the highly successful single “ LOOSE SCREWS” ARTIST Tiko$e has pegged a May release for his new album “ GOOD BOY, BAD WAYZ” . Fans are to expect an intoxicating cocktail of passion, roll of the tongue lyrics and upbeat rhythm, the highly anticipated album teases a new and fresh angle to his music.   2IZZY, 7MORE, TIKO$E TO LEAD NEW ARTIST SEGMENT SERIES With the announcement of his album “GOOD BOY, BAD WAYZ”, Artist TIKO$E joins 7MORE and 2IZZY as the first wave of interviews from freshly ordered artist segment. The segment teases personal conversations with resident artists, and is expected to premiere soon on the official YouTube channel. Fans are to expect a wide range of questions posed at the artist, which in turn gives us a front seat to the cogs and wheels of their work. More details to follow soon.

In an all new “ARTIST SEGMENT”, the record label gets personal with its stars. The series premiering soon on the official YouTube channel will give the audience and the fan base a peak behind the iron curtain. Every week a resident artist reveals to us the madness behind the scenes, we are invited to understand their process, motivation, dreams and influences. Artist 7MORE, 2IZZY and TIKO$E would be leading the pack with scheduled interviews expected to drop soon.

 HOMETOWN MUSIK CLOSES FIRST QUARTER WITH A BANG HOMETOWNMUSIK ENTERTAINMENT EXITS THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2022 ON A STRONG NOTE. With April one day away, Hometownmusik bows out in a spectacular way, with big time projects, signings and upcoming releases. With the recent announcements of the “ROCKY TRIPS (CHAP REMIX)” and “ON FIRE” releases coming up, this first quarter has proven to be such an eventful and strong start to an action packed year which is still unfolding. Not to be forgotten the much lauded remix collection to A KING’S QUEEN surpassed the 10,000 stream milestone last month at a commendable speed, all thanks to the ever growing base of listeners. As the second quarter winds up, we can tell fans that it is going to be a bumpy ride and there is a lot more to come as the year rolls on.

  TIKO$E TEASES NEW SINGLE. ARTIST ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE “LOOSE SCREWS” OUT FEBRUARY 11 TH . Tiko$e has just announced the release of his single “loose screws”, the track expected to be released on the 11 th of this month is set to the first project released by the artist under the Hometown Musik Entertainment Label this year. The track which features King Vardo has been described as having a smooth, svelte and rhythmic hip hop sound that promises to keep listeners on their feet. Loose Screws will hit the airwaves this month and will be available for streaming on Apple Music, Spotify and Audiomack.
