  2022, THE YEAR OF TIKO$E. TIKO$E really came into his own in 2022, with a dazzling array of projects dropped, it was his most active year yet. Earlier in the year dropping smash hit Loose Screws, he topped it off with the release of the much lauded album Good boy, Bad ways. As hinted last year, he has undergone a stunning metamorphosis that has transformed him into a master in his own right. A KING'S QUEEN PART 1 RELEASED NOW AVAILABLE ON YOUTUBE. The highly anticipated first part to the A King's Queen the short film has been released. The much lauded album released last year by Hometown Musik artist 2izzy goes visual in this multiple part short film. Directed, produced and edited by  Tyler Roussel, the first part of the short film focused around hit track "Freak of the week", is now available on  YouTube. A KING'S QUEEN, THE SHORT FILM PART 1 SET TO BE RELEASED. RELEASE DATE SET FOR NOVEMBER 24TH. The first part of the highly anticipated short film teased last month is set to be released on the 24th of November. Directed, produced and edited by  Tyler Roussel,  the short film of the highly lauded album released last year will be released in three parts over the course of three months. This project ushers in a new visual era of the Hometown Musik artists, with part 1 focusing on the hit track off the album " A Queen ". More details to follow soon. 2IZZY CONFIRMS NEW RELEASE DATE FOR LOWER BODY. THE HOMETOWNMUSIK ARTIST SLATES OCTOBER 22nd AS NEW RELEASE DATE. First announced 6 months ago, 2IZZY’s new single “LOWER BODY” is set to hit airwaves on the 22nd of October. The track, which has been kept tightly under wraps for months now, is believed to be dedicated to late record label member Mykhel. While fans have been eager to hear from 2izzy for a while, it has been confirmed that the track would not be the last release from the artist in 2022. This year has shaped up to be an excellent year for the A King’s Queen crooner, who released the much lauded remix collection this march. With the short film still yet to be released, the track is positioned as the first song of the artist for the last quarter of 2022, who has several projects lined up to round up the year.

KMULLA CONFIRMS NEW RELEASE DATE MINDSTATE TO BE RELEASED ON OCTOBER 12 Artist Kmulla has recently confirmed the new date for the release of his new track “Mindstate” , the highly anticipated track previously slated for 9th of September has been tagged for an October 12th release. This kicks off the last wave of releases for Hometown Musik entertainment for this year, 2022. Still hot off the heels of the release of teasers for the hotly anticipated A King’s Queen, the short film, the artist has also teased his line up for the rest of the year. More details coming soon.

KMULLA ANNOUNCES NEW TRACK “MINDSTATE” THE ARTIST TEASES EXPLOSIVE NEW SONG TO BE RELEASED ON SEPTEMBER 9 TH Artist Kmulla has announced the release of a new track “Mindstate”, expected to be released in early September. Kicking off the last leg of the third quarter, the artist has revealed his line up for the rest of the year which would be released in the coming weeks. Coming fresh of the heels of the announcement of the A King’s Queen short film, the crooner has hinted a fresh turn for his sound, which has no doubt got fans buzzing. Artist 2izzy has let on that the film would be a blend of down to earth moments intertwined with raw unfiltered shots that are designed to be relatable and engaging. SOMETHING NEW WITH TIKO$E ON “NIGHT NURSE” Sexy and different from the first time it hits you, this track slowly reveals itself to be a dark horse in my opinion as the best song of the album. Once again TIKO$E’s confidence and growth shines through, his vocals are laidback and smoky as always, the rhythm of the track is slow, steady and intoxicating. Each layer glides over the next with ease and mastery, it evokes a tender and sensual feeling in you as the deep bass bounces from wall to wall. Notably missing here is the overwhelming presence of the strumming or plucking of the guitar that has been very present throughout this album, but that has been replaced by the buttery vibration of the elegant piano chords guiding the song as it crescendos and then carefully rounding it out. TIKOSE TRANSFORMS THE MUNDANE INTO A SPIRITUAL ABUNDANCE ON “NEVER BREAK AGAIN” While it has become somewhat routine for most artists to have a track of similar ilk on their projects, TIKO$E is taking a fresh approach to this usually tackled sub-genre of some sorts. The head bobbing song is a composite of expertly crafted sounds, the plucking of the guitar string introduces the track but is quickly overshadowed by the deep bass enveloping it before peeling back again, and it is svelte, smooth and converges beautifully on the track. Whereas the song employs a somewhat regular and simple formula with the message and overall vibe, it is elevated greatly by the raspy mellow restrained pitch vocals of TIKO$E, adding another layer of melody that blends seamlessly with the steady foot tapping rhythm. With each track, there is a new revelation,that in my opinion is deserving of the praise it so rightfully deserves. Listen:

  THE PROMISE OF REINVENTION, TIKO$E TAKES US ON A RIDE. “Final form”, from the title alone feelings of excitement at drawn parallels hits the eager listeners. On theme with the already noted transformation of TIKO$E on easily his best body of work yet, Final form speaks to the fans directly. A promise of further change and delicious fruits of coming projects tugs at the heartstrings of loyal listeners. The sensual track is laced with promises of a reinvention, as the seductive strumming of the guitar accompany the smooth vocals of TIKO$E, whose confidence shines through on the track. It reads like a prophecy and not a promise as he belts “O Lord this ain’t final form”, a sure fire to the point fact, which I would argue has been apparent since the first notes of the album tore through the air.  TIKO$E GOES ELECTRIC ON “WHEN THEY NEED ME”. The strumming of the guitar strings accompanied by the heavy hit of bass, quickly bathes you in the invigorating blend of sounds as the track begins. Good Boy Bad Ways, presents yet another track that solidifies TIKO$E’s transformation hinted in the first track “CONSEQUENCE”. When they need me is a composite of skillfully molded sounds and carefully constructed lyrics belted out in the now signature svelte and smoky voice perfected by TIKO$E.  It builds on the already solid introduction of the previous tracks, and in some ways is reminiscent of the early years of resurgence of Afrobeats in the mid 2010’s. Tantalizing and slow, the track is perfect for cold, dark and trippy moods, there is almost a promise of a highly rewarding pique as you sway and swing to its addicting tunes. TIKO$E SENDS WAVES OF NOSTALGIA WITH “CONSEQUENCE”. The release of the highly lauded “Good Boy, Bad Ways” by resident artist TIKO$E, confirmed what we had been suspecting for a while now. There is a new version of Tiko$e in town and a metamorphosis is happening right before our eyes or should I say “EARS”, and I suggest that we all get with the programme. As the first note swiftly cuts through the air, it is immediately familiar and nostalgic. There is a lingering feeling of the wet and chaotic summer of 2016 dancing throughout the track; the rhythm evokes eerily similar feelings to the smash hit “One dance” by Drake.   2IZZY LEADS CHARGE INTO SECOND QUARTER THE ARTIST DOUBLES DOWN ON IMPRESSIVE LINE UP FOR THIS QUARTER 2IZZY has dived head on full of confidence into the second quarter of the year, with two confirmed projects “ ON FIRE ft. Noble Newman”, and “LOWER BODY”. Undoubtedly this line has fans buzzing in anticipation. The former is pegged for an April 29 th release, while the release details about the latter is still being kept tightly under wraps by the team but anticipation has been building steadily.   7MORE AND 2IZZY, A DYNAMIC DUO Throughout music history there have been no short of iconic bands like the Beatles, Fleetwood, Diana and the Supremes, The Jackson Five and legendary Duos such as Sonny and Cher and Daft Punk amongst others. Their music can only be described as a cocktail of magic, talent and chemistry with upbeat rhythm, fresh lyrics and passionate vocals that reverberated from bar to bar, hook to hook and chorus to chorus which in turn made the listener burst with euphoria at the sound of the first note, it feels like “ witchcraft”. Could 7MORE and 2IZZY have cracked the code? Although it would be difficult to measure since they aren’t an actual band, one can’t help but wonder why they mesh so well together. The much lauded remix collection which was released last month has been confirmed to have crossed 10,000 streams across all major platforms. The milestone comes after the announcement of two new projects, “ CHAP (remix) and On Fire” , both expected to be released this month. Newcomer Noble Newman and 2izzy have teamed up for single “On Fire” set to be released on the 31 st of this month we can exclusively confirm. Fresh off the heels of the release of the remix collection last month, it has been announced that 2izzy is teaming up with Noble Newman on the single. Noble Newman who is fresh on the scene has steadily been working on his sound, which can be described as distinctive, fresh and urban.   7MORE AND 2IZZY TEAM UP FOR “CHAP (REMIX)” THE DUO REVEALS HIGHLY ANTICIPATED REMIX OUT THIS MONTH It has been confirmed that the “CHAP” remix by 7more and 2izzy would be released sometime this month. The dynamic duo who have a history of unique and successful collaborations such as, “Addicted”, “ Dkpa” and “Faded”, have fans buzzing about the new collaboration. From what we can gather, this would be a fresh and different sound, very much different from their previous collaborations. “CHAP” remix is expected to hit airwaves this month and will be available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music and Audiomack    

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT SKELIDON Fresh off the announcement of his debut on the A Queen (remix), Skelidon has shown no signs of slowing down; the artist who was recently signed to the Hometown Musik Entertainment label has quickly proven that he is one to watch out for. While still being tight lipped about his upcoming projects, we can confirm that the artist has been intentional about fine tuning and carefully crafting his sound. Before Skelidon called Hometown Musik home, he has been slowly building up a strong discography with songs like; Back Home, Don’t need em, Bounce, Tell em, Pull up in your hood, showcasing his diverse musical taste and abilities. Being able to seamlessly maneuver between distinctive sounds as seen with his discography, only further proves that he as a unique ability to create music for a wide range of listeners.   BABI-G CONFIRMS TRACK ON THE REMIX COLLECTION. FREAK OF THE WEEK REMIX REVEALED AS THIRD TRACK OF THE COLLECTION Freak of the week by 2izzy and Babi-G has been unveiled as one of the tracks on the remix collection due to be released later this month by the Hometown Musik Entertainment record label. The track which was also on the original album released last year will be re-appearing as a remix on the project featuring Babi-G. 2izzy wowed us with his raw vocal power and lyrical ability on the original track, and now with Babi-G lending his vocals on the remix, fans are to expect a composite of raw musical ability. This comes of the heels of the back to back announcement of the first two tracks announced earlier this week. The Original album was also reported to have passed half a million streams on all major platforms last week , this upcoming remix collection is highly anticipated and will most likely live up to the reputation of the original album.   “LOWKEY” ANNOUNCED AS SECOND TRACK ON THE REMIX COLLECTION. 2IZZY TEAMS UP WITH C.RUTH AND CYNTHIA ISHIMWE FOR LOWKEY REMIX Earlier today it was confirmed that the second track off the highly anticipated project due to debut later this month is “Lowkey”. The song made which its first appearance on the much loved original album, sees the return of the original artist 2izzy and Cynthia ishimwe, with an addition of C.Ruth for the remix. A rip-roaring track, Lowkey is a song about love, intimacy and privacy, the sound is a mesh of strong, velvety and mature vocal work from all vocalists involved. Hailed as the seminal piece of the project, Lowkey sets the foundation for the project, influencing and guiding the direction of the tracks on both the original album and the remix collection. Tiko$e has just announced the release of his single “loose screws”, the track expected to be released on the 11 th of this month is set to the first project released by the artist under the Hometown Musik Entertainment Label this year. The track which features King Vardo has been described as having a smooth, svelte and rhythmic hip hop sound that promises to keep listeners on their feet. Loose Screws will hit the airwaves this month and will be available for streaming on Apple Music, Spotify and Audiomack.
