BLACK HISTORY MONTH: A CELEBRATION OF BLACK INFLUENCE AND EXPERIENCE.
THE IMPORTANCE OF THE BLACK EXPERIENCE AND INFLUENCE
Every year we
celebrate Black history month, starting on the 1st of February and
ending on the 1st of March, it is a month set aside for the
celebration of the influence of black people worldwide and through the
centuries.
It is an ode to our
ancestors who had to grovel and struggle so we can have a rightly deserved seat
at the table, it shines a light on the black experience and how we have
consistently benefitted from it.
This month we are all
encouraged to reflect on our identity and how we influence the world around us
for as long as we exist.
Last year to
commemorate Black History Month, “One People” was released by 2izzy and
Eyesblood under the Good Musik Album, now available on Spotify, Apple Music and
Audiomack.
